TANK REMOVAL / ABANDONMENT

DeMaio’s Incorporated’s scope of services begins with preliminary site assessments and pre-remediation site investigations to determine the project’s complexities prior to mobilization of our personnel and equipment. 




Based on the nature of a project DeMaio’s Incorporated’s capabilities include residential and commercial tank testing, tank cleaning and proper tank abandonment and removal, all performed by our staff of fully trained field personnel.

SITE REMEDIATION

DeMaio’s Incorporated provides all types of soil and groundwater remediation services that are tailored to the exact requirements of the project at hand.  These services include excavation and proper removal and disposal of soil, and localized groundwater remediation. 
Groundwater remediation activities include regimented pumping events and/or groundwater processing through our custom-designed groundwater remediation trailers which can be immediately mobilized to any project site.

STRUCTURAL SUPPORT

In situations where soil contamination exists beneath a building, or where excavation against a foundation would compromise the integrity of a structure,  DeMaio’s Incorporated is fully certified to install Chance Helical Piles© to support residential and commercial structures during the remediation process.  The Chance Helical Pull down Micropiles© offer an economical means of structural support when conventional methods of remediation are not effective. Our crews are fully trained in the installation and utilization of all  Chance system equipment designed for this application.

TANK INSTALLATION

Residential and Commercial Above-ground and Underground Storage Tank (AST and UST) installations have long been an important facet of DeMaio’s Incorporated’s scope of services.  All work is performed by field technicians who are fully trained and certified in the latest installation techniques utilizing state of the art materials. 

Our commercial installations include tanks and piping for dispensing gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, heating oil, motor oil and grease. 

DeMaio’s wide range of experience includes installation of
petroleum-based product systems at gas stations, auto dealerships, service centers and marinas.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE

DeMaio’s Incorporated is prepared to respond to environmental emergencies involving product discharge on land and water.  We specialize in containment and remediation of contamination caused by vehicular accidents, tank leaks and over-fills, industrial
discharges of gasoline, diesel fuel or heating oil and other petroleum-related incidents which immediately impact the environment.

SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION

DeMaio’s Incorporated’s scope of services also includes a Bobcat-mounted Geoprobe ® direct-push sampler capable of obtaining discrete soil samples in conventional and limited access situations. 

Accurately delineating a plume of contamination prior to remedial excavation can result in more reliable cost estimating which enables private or commercial clients to develop an accurate project budget.  Our equipment is capable of advancing borings vertically and on an angle to sample below immovable obstructions. 

Our Geoprobe® equipment is also used for the installation of sample diameter piezometers and prepacked screens that allow for accurate groundwater sampling to determine groundwater quality as it relates to any given environmental project.

GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION

DeMaio’s Incorporated is capable of installing shallow, permitted groundwater monitoring and observation wells up to 4” in diameter that conform to all applicable standards as established by the NJDEP.  DeMaio’s Incorporated’s in-house track-mounted drilling equipment is suitable for limited access situations where conventional drill rigs would not be appropriate, particularly in residential applications where site disturbance is a primary concern. 



Our hollow-stem auger installations allow for precise groundwater sampling and observation.  By utilizing our own equipment, we control our schedule to meet your specific project timeframe.
